Project : “Dancing with Concrete” is a furniture experiment using the material, Concrete Canvas. Since I first heard about this material I have been looking for an opportunity to use it. Not only because it is an inspiring material but also because I like the original idea behind this material, to build hardened shelters in disaster zones. The name of the furniture is easy to understand once you work with the material, it feels like dancing! This material behaves like a fabric until you add water then it hardens. Creating Dancing with Concrete, I was inspired to play with our imagination. Playing with the thought of making an Easy chair looking as soft as possible being very hard. Inspired by this raw material you have the result, an Easy chair looking very soft being, hard.  You can have this furniture inside and outside, that is your call.”

The chair was exhibited at Milano’s 2011 SaloneSatellite Furniture Fair.
